Unrivaled Sports has announced a new partnership with Drew Brees, bringing his youth flag football league, Football ’N’ America (FNA), into its growing Unrivaled Flag portfolio.
Founded by Josh Harris and David Blitzer, with a major strategic investment from The Chernin Group (TCG), Unrivaled Sports oversees a diverse portfolio of youth sports properties across baseball, softball, football, and action sports.
The move expands the company’s reach across the U.S. as flag football participation surges ahead of its Olympic debut at LA 2028.
Football ’N’ America, co-founded by Brees and Chris Stuart in 2017, has grown to 24 leagues nationwide, offering community-based flag football programs for boys and girls.
Through Unrivaled Flag, FNA leagues will now connect to marquee events such as High School Girls Nationals, The Gold Jacket Classic, and the Youth Flag World Championships.
The partnership also formalises a long-term collaboration between Brees and Unrivaled Sports, focused on co-developing new youth events, programming, and multi-sport opportunities across the wider portfolio.
Why It Matters:
Flag football is fast becoming the entry point to American football culture, particularly for young and female athletes.
With its inclusion in the 2028 Olympics and rising participation nationwide, this partnership positions Unrivaled Sports at the centre of that growth curve.
The deal brings together community programming with elite-event infrastructure, a model we’re seeing play out across youth sports through consolidation, vertical integration, and a growing focus on “experience” as the product.
It’s also interesting to see how the partnership leverages Brees’ celebrity appeal. The opportunity cuts both ways: it gives instant credibility to Unrivaled’s sporting product while extending Brees’ reach, relevance, and long-term legacy within youth sport.
