'If you're only judging yourself on success, then you're going to go through a pretty tough time on that' - Stuart Broad
Stuart Broad had a playing career that scaled the heights and eclipsed the vast majority of other cricketers.
But even the England legend suffered setbacks - and he is convinced that it's the way you respond to those moments that can define whether you succeed in the long term.
"I reckon in cricket, having played for a long time, those days where you can genuinely get back to your room, look in the mirror and go, I've had a great day... it's five, ten per cent?" said Stuart.
"And if you're only judging yourself on success, then you're going to go through a pretty tough time on that."
According to the 4CAST founder, digesting the lows and finding the strength to respond in a positive manner is a key attribute for any successful athlete.
"I've played with players that genuinely, if they don't score runs, they feel like their family or friends will judge them for that as people," he said.
"And that's quite a pressurised situation to be in."
So if you can learn to, as quickly as you can, learn to deal with failure in the right way... they're the players who I've seen have long careers.
"And that doesn't mean that you accept failure at all," added Stuart.
"It doesn't mean that you're happy with it, but you need to be able to be able to bounce back from it in your particular way and not judge yourself as a person with what you do in your job."
